WolfBound
A completed, 256-page fantasy middle-grade graphic novel. Unagented (looking for a litracy agent). In the works since 2021.

Kazu Kibuishi’s “Amulet” meets Raina Telemeier’s “Smile” in this fantasy, coming of age middle-grade graphic novel about a tween who discovers she can transform into a wolf after being bitten by one. But this isn’t your typical werewolf story… she can now talk to other animals, see visions of the past and has remarkable healing abilities. But she lives in a town, far away from the forest where the other wolfbounds live… how did she get to be there in the first place, and how is this somehow linked to the mysterious death of her father?

My Why
I started making WolfBound when I was 12, around the time of covid. After being unable to publish a previous short graphic novel I made when I was 11 (as there was copyright with a rubiks cube), I wanted to create a story with my own IP. I loved drawing animals and forests my whole life, so wanted to create a story bridging the gap between nature and humans, through a shapeshifter werewolf, Juliet. And so, WolfBound was born!
From then, I worked at every spare moment I had, from making the roughs to inking the pages, while studying at school at the same time. Progress slowed as school became more serious, but I love WolfBound, and managed to push through. WolfBound is a project I hold close to heart, it helped me through some difficult times at school and with my metal health, as something to fall back to. Comics and storytelling had gripped my brain at a young age, and they show no sign of letting go, I hope to pursue this further, with two prequles planned out for WolfBound, and more graphic novel series concepts! I hope to share the stories living inside my mind with others, and hope that they enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Timeline of WolfBound
When I tell people I started making WolfBound at 11, they usually think I came up with the idea at that age, then created the book later.
However, I have actually been creating and drawing the book since the very start! It took many years for it to be complete as making a graphic novel takes a long time, and progress slowed down with school picking up as I grew older.
Here you can see the full timeline of me creating WolfBound! I hope this inspires other young comic artist that they too can make a graphic novel and begin at any time in their life!
