Fantasy comic artist

Making graphic novels for middle grade readers.
Author and illustrator of WolfBound.

Fenix Starlight is a comic artist who writes and illustrates fantasy graphic novels for middle-grade readers who love characters with magical powers, open worlds filled with mythical beasts and legends, and enchanted forests. His stories often feature people living in a natural world — small towns set in an alternate modern era, surrounded by vast landscapes, ancient ruins, and gateways to other worlds.

He is inspired by creators like Kazu Kibuishi, Raina Telgemeier, and Tim Probert. Fenix is currently seeking publication for WolfBound, his 250+ page debut graphic novel, which he began making in 2021.

Looking to publish

Wolfbound is a 250+ page completed, fantasy middle-grade graphic novel, which Fenix has been working on since they were 11 years old.

Fenix is unsigned and now looking to get it published. It is their aspiration for it to be published by Graphix or HarperAlley.

Published Short Comics

Illustrated cover of a short comic titled "The Mist." A mysterious, ghostly canine with glowing eyes looms in the starry sky above a misty forest. Below, a smaller dog-like creature stands alert in a clearing, looking up with concern. The scene is bathed in purples and blues, evoking a mystical, eerie atmosphere. The title "The Mist" is written in large, white, flowing letters at the bottom.

The Mist: a short comic

When Aron, a young horse-like creature with the power to glimpse the future, stumbles upon a group of humans trespassing, he must question his species long held beliefs; such as their prejudice towards humans, and why they never leave the misted forest he calls home.

“The Mist” is a 9-page short comic I created in 2024 for an art exam, with the theme being “folklore”. You can find more about the making of “The Mist” below.

Illustrated cover of a short comic titled "The Dream." A small figure stands in the open palm of a giant dream-like version of themself, who gazes downward with a somber expression. The background is surreal and symbolic—giant ribbons swirl around piles of books, a checkerboard, a cityscape, a teacup, and a coiled yarn. The color palette is moody and fantastical, with deep reds, purples, and blues. The word “DREAM” is written in large, stylized white letters at the top.

The Dream: a short comic

A young father must navigate his dream to find his lost daughter, all the while running from a shadow like figure haunting him.

“The Dream” is an 18-page short comic I created for my final GCSE exam, in 2024. It was displayed as a mobile with the hanging comic pages, to represent the “out of order” sequence someone remembers their dream. “The Dream” was displayed in the Lethaby Gallery during the Camden School’s Art Biennale in the summer of 2024, and it currently resides in a public google building in London.
